Wii are Working on Getting Fit

As of March 8th I took up exercising 15 minutes daily with our Wii Fit. (Yes, we have a Wii Fit. I bought it with bonus money and gift cards almost a year ago. Yeah! for no out of pocket expense for us.) This is to work towards one of my goals on my 101 List. My goal is to work out 15 minutes daily for one month then move up to 30 minutes next month. I am terrible with consistency so I know I need to start slow. I also hate working out so this is already a stretch (no pun intended) for me.

I am not one of those people that feel refreshed after a work out. I am one of those people that feels pissed off and out of breath….and thirsty…extremely thirsty. I don’t enjoy sweating, and I hate feeling sore.

But with all of that said I don’t want to continue down the path I have set out for myself. I don’t have a job that requires much movement so I don’t get out unless I take a walk at lunch (and like I am going to do that). So I end up coming home after work, eating, and then settling in to watch a movie or do some housework. But I know that a child is in our future (not immediate future, but future none the less) so I want to get in shape now so that it wouldn’t be so difficult to bounce back later. And so that I get into a routine now and it won’t seem so weird later.

I am focusing mostly on the aerobics, yoga, and balance games because I know my balance is terrible. My legs are always covered in bruises because I trip and hit things. I am quite clumsy. (Bet you never would have guessed that.)

Wish me luck! I will let you know how it goes.

What is your work out regiment? Do you love to work out or hate it?
