Getting Started: Green Reading

I will be perfectly honest. I am not a reader. I actually despise reading. For some reason I always feel like I could be doing something more productive when I read, and yet when I read I feel more intelligent and happier because I knew something I didn't know before.

But anyways, over the last year or so I really wanted to delve into the topic of eco-conscious living so I used my local library (using the library for eco-means will be a future topic) to research extensively my quest.

A couple of my favorite books are:

The Green Book:
The Everyday Guide to Saving the Planet One Simple Step at a Time

By: Elizabeth Rogers and Thomas M. Kostigen
It is a great little book with fun side stories from celebrities. I enjoy the fact that you can reference certain areas without needing to read the entire book.

Gorgeously Green: 8 Simple Steps to an Earth-Friendly Life
By: Sophie Uliano
I use this book a lot for cleaning recipes and for quick referencing on certain products. The author has a great sense of humor, and it is filled with fun, witty, personal stories.

These are just two of the MANY books that I have read, but they are also two of my favorites.

What books have you read that you enjoy about eco-conscious living? Are there any you wouldn't recommend?
